Our FireStorm-Plus uses an Extra large 1/2" diameter Ferrocerium "Ferro" rod to ensure that it is strong enough to hold up when it's crunch time. Like all of our PyroStryke ferro rods, it contains a special blend of alloys including magnesium that ensures a shower of molten hot sparks (up to 5500 degrees) and around 18,000 strikes of showering hot sparks assuring quick combustion of your tinder.
